GREETINGS!

Sir George M. Reinante, our ever lenient, personable and always supportive Schools Division
Superintendent, The whole energetic, unified and striking team of Kalumsing Integrated School staff,
teachers headed by our very able Sir Diosdado Agsano, the graduates and completers of SY 2021-2022,
to our barangay and PTA officers, our dear parents/guardians, families, friends and visitors, good
morning.

First, please allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude and joy for giving me this precious opportunity
to join and celebrate with you this most grand and awaited event.

25 years ago, when tiktok, facebook, Instagram, whatsapp, line, imo, messenger, skype, viber, youtube,
twitter, telegram, snapchat, reddit, sina weibo, kuaishou, pinterest,, qoura, linkedin, shoppe, Lazada,
Zalora, ebay, OLX, FB market place, sulit.com, selfie effect moment and blah blah blah… were still very
far from reality. Though the world wide web has already been operating during those times.

Life and the whole environment have rapidly evolved during this generation.

I am having a “nostalgia”. (Say I wanna go back during the old days)

May I take this moment to have a rewind? ... of our time, or should I say; during our days ‘then’ here at
Kalumsing Elementary School.

I understand that your engines are still hot,

So, before I would share my insights and about the road of life I had, fasten all your seat belts and join
me as I share time with you. (From future to the old days) ------- acknowledge Ma’am V.

Imagine… visualize… take a picture inside your mind… That 25 years ago, I am one with you, that we are
classmates here. This place is plain ground, no covered court, only ‘palsa’ was being made during any
occasion. Every morning, we walked going to and from school. Some may have some slippers, some
were barefoot, when the teacher arrives, we hurriedly race and happily get the teacher’s things like a
prize in a competition, seldom you can see students loitering around or stopping by elsewhere before
during or after class everyone goes home. Inside the class, we usually prepared… at least. Rely on your
self because copying during those days was a big crime. Different charges would be filed against you
once you are caught doing ninja or giraffe moves. (The story goes on but be mindful of the time)

We were being taught in all subjects I would say comprehensively. During our days, we value DISCIPLINE
and responsibility… From taking notes, doing home works, graded recitations and so on. Even though
we do not have those social media apps 25 years ago, I am proud to say that we made it successfully
during our time. We do not have Wikipedia or any accessible material from the internet, so we need to
exert a lot of patience and effort. (konek epek)

This is not a matter of comparison however of what is during your time and ours or any inferior
emphasis, rather it is a bridge of time to make you aware or at least appreciate the value and
richness of what was long before you, because in order for us to know, understand and feel the
future, we need TO connect our selves from the past. It may not be our very own personal road
but IF we are willing TO learn, to appreciate and give importance to these significant details
about life, then the road to success is not far from realization.
Nonetheless, the word success doesn’t have any importance at all if someone don’t really care to make
it happen.

When I was 2nd year in college, I can still freshly remember the word ‘QUO
VADIS?’ it’s a Latin word which means; ‘where are you going?’

COMMERCIAL: Malapit na pasukan,

Bagong school
Bagong gamit
Bagong kaklase
Pero yung crush mo, di parin nagbabago
At iba pa din ang gusto
Kaya Move on kana at
Aral ka muna

As completers and graduates of this SY-2021-2022, I firmly believe that this is your goal. The BIG YET
SIMPLE QUESTION IS; HOW to make this happen? How can you successfully attain success? In reality, we
have our own way of dealing how to.

As one of the “batang 90’s Alumnus of this Institution, with a humble heart, I am overjoyed to share
important significant details and insights and reminders not only necessarily from knowledge but from
experiences also.

1 . mindset focus - You are about to start another level of your learning, of your life.

Digital Generation – YOUR GENERATION where everything is evolving very fast (material world) where
almost if not all were becoming instant, the level and quality of individuality, interests, values…
- Clearly this generation doesn’t have a clear focus, they are easily disturbed by things and
circumstances.
Whether you continue school or plan to start a new career, consider to adopt or carry with you the
good principles and great ideas of those successful people around you. Use them as your own and be
open to every opportunity. You need to have a clear focus of your goals and ambitions and set your
target. --- of course, practically, you need to put initiative. A lot of effort and dedicated hard work to
make it.
---You must have a full and clear vision of what you want to become in the future.

2. the call for a change – (same old brand new you by a1)
---- most of us doesn’t want to go out from our comfort zone. (barkada circle) story konek
This is also something about personality and attitude (including EGO) self-worth
--- YOU are not a tree that is being planted forever. unless it’s an artificial one that is movable.
Whether a situation is promising or not, we must learn how to adjust, to bend and try our best to deal
with all positive attitude.
--- change is inevitable. Any moment, it occurs. (pero sabi naman nung kanta, pag ibig ko sayoy di
magbabago, habang tumatagal lalong nag iibayo) naks!
--- konek pandemic, national global change, economic change etc.

3. action and perseverance (NOT NINGAS KUGON) – good things come to those who wait? Bon jovi…
Are you that kind that waits for the perfect time to come? “Opportunities do not come to those who
wait but to those who act” waiting is a virtue but if its abused, it serves no good.
Despite any challenges and hardships in life, one of the essential keys to success is perseverance, that is
staying on the right track even you are having hard time. Do not lose hope, DO NOT SIT AND WAIT,
always put yourself on the go, double or triple your action to achieve your dreams, otherwise nothing
will happen.

4. Believe 100 percent in your self and your abilities (NOT BEING MAHANGIN) – the core of your goal is
coming from within.
- - billionaires, millionaires, professionals, entrepreneurs, and other successful personalities had a
common secret, wanna unlock it? The word itself. Whatever odds you encounter, just keep believing
you can do it with all your spirit and heart. I strongly agree with this. Life is an endless journey,
sometimes great, sometimes not but whatever circumstance you are in, please have faith and believe
totally in yourself. Otherwise, I am a failure standing here in front you now.

5. never give up – FAIL ACRONYM; FIRST ATTEMPT IN LEARNING

FEAR ACRONYM – FEELING EXCITED AND READY, FORGET EVERYTHING AND RUN, FACE EVERYTHING
AND RECOVER, FINDING EXCUSE AND REASONS – KONEK BLAH BLAH
FAILURE –is a part of our existence, without it, then we are… ?? ask them? (perfect)
We are all weak and prone to committing mistakes and errors. Failure comes when don’t realize the
essence/ value of our full potential, capacity and ability. in real life, heroes even fall. When we fail, the
first hindrance we need to overcome is our own FEAR, that should not be. Its oaky to experience such
BUT DO NOT ALLOW your self to be consumed by it because it will devour you and all your goals and
ambitions will be buried with it. Do not let DOUBT over takes you BUT rather cling to hope and
unwavering persistence, have strong faith filled with good hopes and aspirations for the future.
As one of the old lines says; “The future belongs to those who believe in it”.
by this time, I guess you already know where to put your self and all your dreams. It is all in your hand
our dear completers and graduates.

Graduation is only a concept.

In real life, graduation is a process
That goes on until the last days of your life.
If you can grasp that, you'll make a difference.

Your life is your story

And the adventure ahead of you
Is the journey to fulfill
Your own potential and purpose. - Kerry washington

Before I leave the stage, I wanna ask you some simple relevant questions. Please try to reflect on them
as you prepare and continue to take another new journey of your life.
FOR THE GRADUATES:
So, WHAT NOW?? AFTER THIS EVENT, AFTER THIS MOST AWAITED CELEBRATION? IS THERE ANY
CHANGE? PLANS? WERE THERE ANY SIGNIFICANT REALIZATIONS TO BE IMMEDIATELY PRIORITIZED?
HAVE YOU EVER ALREADY THOUGHT OF MAKING A CHANGE? A GOOD OR SHOULD WE SAY SOMETHING
ESSENTIAL FOR YOUR GOAL?

Were you able to direct your goal or at least manage to have a glimpse of the future that lies ahead of
you?
