Hello, today we are going to talk about Meetings.
We divided the theme of our work into 5 topics, which are:
1. Meetings Definition
2. Types of meetings
3. Points of view in a meeting
4. Agreement and disagreement in a meeting
5. Discussion techniques in a meeting

Meeting Definition: in general, a meeting is an assembly of two or more


people for reaching a decision through a discussion. It is one of the major
media of oral communication.
According to Oxford dictionary “a meeting is an occasion when people
come to gather to discuss or decide something”.

that exist around a meeting.

Points of view in a meeting
For example, I am Carolina and I am the chief executive of any company, and
to start tomorrow's meeting I can use expressions like...

Then, to expose the matter and what will be handled at that meeting, I can
say...

As the meeting progresses, I can invite some worker from my company to start
talking about an determined subject and I should use expressions like...
Next, I can ask another worker for an opinion on this subject, asking questions
such as... Or ask for a general opinion, saying...
Each of them can answer me in the following way…

During the course of the meeting, both I and the workers can express whether
or not they agree, as is the subject, for example: they can fully agree, saying...
Or do you agree only in part by saying...
You may not agree yet and then you can say... How can they not agree only in
part and then the expressions they can use are...

Finally we have discussion techniques:
Where expressions such as...
In addition to these expressions, there are more specific ones to interrupt
someone but doing it politely, and in this case you can say...
