YAMAHA YFZ 450 OILER OILER UPGRADE KIT INSTALLATION TIPS

MODELS: Yamaha YFZ 450 2004-06

This oiler kits main objective is to upgrade the oiling system on the 2004-06 model YFZ 450 with a pressurized
nozzle that squirts oil on the piston, rod and wrist pin.

It will be necessary to drain all oil and coolant from the machine before installing the kit. It is strongly advisable
to install fresh oil and coolant including a new oem oil filter after install 07 cover.

The following parts must be taken from your existing clutch cover and installed in the enclosed ’07 cover: Water
pump- shaft, bearing, washer, cover, o-ring, cover bolts and impeller; Oil filter cover, filter and o-rings will also
need to be used from old cover.
These parts must be reinstalled in the ’07 cover as per factory instructions.

When installing the upgraded oil pump it is important to make sure that the oil pump gears are in good condition.
The inner gear must be removed from the old oil pump and install on the new pump supplied in the kit.
