I. OBJECTIVES
Along the 60-minutes session, the students are expected to:
1. identify the things to consider in making financial projections assumptions;
2. create a 6-month projected income statement for their business;
3. appreciate the significance of financial projections in business planning.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance and Classroom Management
4. Review (5 minutes)
A student will be called to give a recap on the discussion yesterday.

B. Lesson Procedure
1. Activity – Group Activity (20 minutes)
a. The class is already grouped for their business plan project.
b. Fact sheets with projected income statement will be given to each group for their
reference.
c. Each group will create a 6-month projected income statement for their business.
d. They will follow the format in the table below, and write their answers in a short
bond paper.

2. Analysis and Discussion (10 minutes)


a. How did you find the activity?
b. What were the assumptions that you have made in projecting your income statement
for 6 months?

3. Abstraction (10 minutes)


a. What are the things to consider in making financial projections assumptions?
b. What do you think is the significance of financial projections in business planning?

4. Application (10 minutes)


The students will be asked, “With the financial projections that you have created, will
you pursue your business? Why or why not?” Two to three students will be called to answer the
question orally.

IV. EVALUATION
The students will be evaluated based on their group activity.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Interview a business owner in your neighborhood. Ask them the following questions:
1. With the business that you have, what will you contribute to the community?
2. How can you help the community?
Report your output tomorrow.

Projected Income from January to February will rise by 7.9%; from February to
