Course Description:
Functional English polishes the student's skills in the learning of target language. It enables them
to communicate internationally. This course develops the ability to focus on outcome as the
individual and team success depends upon the ability of individual to communicate with others
face to face as well as virtually. It focuses upon listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
which are the four pillars of English Language learning. This course includes basics of grammar to
give students idea about rules of English as language.

Aims & objectives:

To enhance language skills

To develop an ability to read, write and speak.


To maintain a balance of receptive (reading, listening) and productive (speaking, writing) skills
through communication classes and self-study.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will be able to communicate in the target language. They could be able to write
coherently. They would have learnt the art of various types of sentences in their writings. They
would have understood grammar and its basics, They would have conducted the critical reading
of various passages in order to seek and compile coherent answers.
