GENDER AND EDUCATION

A. Should gender be a deciding factor for people to access education?

 Education doesn’t based on gender, every individual has the right to have access to
Education.

B. Are there specific needs that women, men, and LGBTQ+ have in school? If yes, what are
those needs?

 Yes, gender equality for LGBTQ+.

C. How do you think the educational system in the Philippines is addressing these gender
needs?

 The Department of Education issued a gender-responsive basic education policy that


calls for an end to discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation and gender
identity in schools.

A. What are the school programs for mental health and gender-related issues?

 UC Confessions : Mental Health Edition


B. How do you think will these programs help you as an adolescent?

 You share your stories about your struggles, life lessons, healing and how you were able
to overcome your obstacles and it help you to grow more and be open to your struggles.

C. Are there other forms of support you think you need in terms of mental health and gender
issues? What are these?

 Yes, it is the emotional support from a friend. As a student, we may be experience


draining from school and a lot of stress, by having a emotional support from a friend it
may strengthen us and we can be more confident.
