Content Standard:
The learners demonstrate understanding of solving routine and non-routine involving of
volumes of solid figures.
Performance Standard:
The Learners are able to apply knowledge of solving involving volumes in solid figures
in mathematical problems and real life situation
Learning Competency:
Solves routine and non-routine problems involving volumes of solids.M6ME-IVe-98, Week 2
I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After an hour of class discussion and activities, the learners will be able to:
1. Find the volume of cylinders, pyramids, cones, and spheres.
2. Solve routine and non-routine problems involving volume of solids.
3. Patience in solving routine and non-routine problems involving volumes of solids.

B. Review
The teacher will have a brief recap about yesterday’s lesson and ask the student about the
solving problems involving average rate, distance, time and speed.
Distance problems are word problems that involve the distance an object will travel at a
certain average rate for a given period of time.
The formula for distance problems is: distance = rate × time or d = r × t.
