SITE EVACUATION DRILL – SAO PAULO 2022

EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN - BRIEF

Date: Wednesday September 7th, 16:00

Objective: Site Evacuation During Show

Scenario:

 Security will call DOD to trigger the evacuation process after a fire in the VIP area
becomes out of control

What is needed:

 All staff in show position, all artists in show position.


 All staff on regular show channel.

Main Wardens:

Emergency Coordinator (Radio Ch. 1)


Who: DOD
Responsibilities: Evacuation of the entire site. (Section 1, 2, 3 + Link with promoter DOD)

Emergency Intervention Team


Who:
 Head of Security (Lead)
 Local Security Agents
 Site Ops 1
 Medic
 Technical Manager on Duty (TMOD)
Responsibilities: Responsible for locating and acting on an incident.

GEX Lead Warden (Radio Ch. 2)


Who: GEX Manager on duty
Responsibilities: Evacuates Section 1 (FOH, Merch, box office, entrances, VIP, catering,
washrooms) and reports to Emergency Coordinator on radio ch. 1

GSM Lead Warden (Radio Ch. 3)


Who: Calling SM
Responsibilities: Evacuates Section 2 (Big Top, bleachers, backstage, artistic tent,
sanitary block, tech shop 54) and reports to Emergency Coordinator on radio ch. 1

Site Ops 2 Lead Warden (Radio Ch. 5)


Who: Site technician #2 on show call
Responsibilities: Evacuates Section 3 (Production offices, all back of site trailers,
generator area, kitchen, site shop) and reports to Emergency Coordinator on radio ch. 1

All wardens

1 When the Emergency Coordinator calls an evacuation, all employees with emergency related
functions or who are part of the Warden System are required to act immediately.
2 Wardens are required to position themselves at their required locations.
3 Ushers are required to position themselves at their required locations.
4 Ushers are to request that Patrons leave the Big Top, Concession, washrooms, etc. and
direct themselves outside the Public Entry Gate.
5 Ushers inside the Big Top are required to provide the all clear to the Head Usher.
6 Once all Patrons are outside the Public Entry Gate, the Head Usher is required to provide the
all clear to the General Stage Manager.
7 Meanwhile, Wardens are to ensure that no patrons leave through the stage and back stage
area.
8 Wardens are to sweep their assigned areas.
9 Once all staff has left their assigned areas, Wardens report to their Lead Warden for each
Section of the site: FOH, Big Top & Back of site (see Warden Responsibilities).
10 All staff members, families, contractors are to leave the site through the Employee Entry Gate
and head toward the assembly location located approximately 50 feet away from the
Employee Entry Gate. The Employee Entry Gate will be used as the main entrance for any
emergency services which will arrive on site.
11 Once all staff has left, all Lead Wardens are to report their all clear to the Emergency
Coordinator and remain available in case any further duties as required.
12 Emergency Coordinator is to remain at the Employee Entry Gate to provide the emergency
services with any required information
All remaining staff and artists

1 Use the nearest exit (door).


2 Leave out the Employee Entry Gate or the nearest gate possible. All evacuate with the
exception of the Emergency Intervention Team.
3 If there are minors, proceed with a headcount of all minors before leaving and once outside
the premises.
4 Once outside the premises, move away from the Employee Entry Gate to the assembly
location, as this is the place where all emergency services will be arriving.
5 No employee or patron is to re-enter the premises without the authorization of the site
Emergency Coordinator or the local authorities.
