Starting from the sides near the front (closest to windshield), gently
pull overhead console down from headliner. Unplug all connectors
before completely removing overhead console and set console on
passenger seat.
Slide upper portion of wire cover down from underneath headliner
and pull out towards rear of vehicle to remove from mount.
Save upper portion of wire cover for reinstallation of new mirror.

Caution: Do not lose metal spring clips (if applicable) on front Caution: Do not damage headliner or wire cover.

Unplug OEM wire harness from OEM mirror. Loosen screw on mirror mount with a T20 Torx driver. Gently slide
mirror upwards in a parallel direction to the windshield. DO NOT pull
away from windshield.

Caution: Do not damage headliner or connectors. Caution: Ensure care is taken to prevent damage to mirror
mount, windshield, and headliner.

Slide EC mirror onto windshield button and tighten using T20 Torx
driver.
WARNING: Do not over tighten screw. Tighten the mirror mount-
Ing bracket screw to 15.61b-in (17.9 kg-an). Over tightening the
screw won't properly secure the mirror and could cause the
mirror to break loose and Injure the vehicle's occupants.

Locate OEM harness previously attached to OEM mirror. Plug 1Q.pin
female conneclor of EC mirror harness into OEM harness.
Caution: Ensure 10-pin connector is securely installed.

Plug 10-pin male conneclor from EC mirror harness into conneclor
on tongue mount of EC mirror.
Caution: Ensure 10-pin connector is securely installed.
Allow for a minimum of 4 inches of straight harness from the mirror
conneclor to the headliner, then make a loop with the short jumper
harness. Ensure that the entire wire harness will be straight up from
the mirror to the headliner, without interfering with wire harness.

short jumper harness, and the secured connectors from the previous
step.
Caution: Ensure that there is enough ofthe EC mirror harness
to extend straight up to the headliner without interfering with
the wire cover.

FROM THE ORIGINAL MIRROR ABOVE THE ORIGINAL MIRROR COUPLER.

Secure remaining EC mirror harness to OEM wire harness with (2)
wire ties, as shown above.
Clip end of wire ties.
Carefully tuck EC mirror harness into the headliner on the RIGHT
side of overhead console cavity.
Secure the EC mirror harness onto the roofwHh (1) piece of foam
tape.
Reinstall the connector(s) into the overhead console.
Ensure metal clips are securely seated on front side of overhead
console. Ensure all removed connectors are re-installed, making
sure each connector is securely installed into the console. Re-install
overhead console and snap into posHion. Make sure none of the wire
harnesses are pinched.
Secure in place wHh (2) Phillips Screws.
Caution: Ensure that the (2) Phillips Screws are properly aligned
with the anchors securing the console to the roof.
Do NOT strip anchors by over tightening the screws.

Ensure sunglasses compartment opens and shuts without interfer- Reconnect vehicle's negative battery terminal using a ratchet and

Using clean nylon panel removal tool, carefully tuck the headliner
cloth under the overhead console.
Caution: Use caution when working with headliner to prevent
creases, tears, or damage.
WARNING: Shock Hazard. Do not touch vehicle's negative

injury and damage to the vehicle may occur.

Cover the forward looking photocell on the back of the mirror with a
dark cloth or towel.
Turn the Ignition to the "'N" position.
To make sure the auto-dimming feature is on, verify that the GREEN

Verify that either a direction, such as NE, or 'C" is displayed in the
display windo~ If not, ensure the compass feature is turned on by
pressing the ·~:.:.r button.
Push each Blue Link button ("@ ' ·h. · & "Q"), one at a time. The
appropriate Blue Link message Will play once a button is pressed.
Cancel the call by saying 'cancel" out loud. wait ten seconds, and
continue for each button.

At this time, the mirror will begin to darken.

Remove the cloth from the forward looking photo cell and the mirror
will begin to clear.

HomeLink Buttons
Indicator LED
-Red <~:~:&·~·>

Turn the Ignition to the "'FF" position.
Ensure that the Compass display is no longer visible and the Green
LED is no longer on.
Push each Homelink button (~" ~" & "ilt"), one at a time, and
verify that the LED indicator to the right'of the center button illumi-
nates with a RED LED when buttons are pressed.
Place Quick Reference Guide in vehicle glove box.
Remove fingerprints, smudges, etc. from mirror and windshield.
Caution: QQ..Hlli spray glass cleaner or other cleaning liquid
directly onto the mirror as it may damage the electronics.

Testing is now complete.
