4. Define web, web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 
 The web is a world wide web that consists of information organized into web
pages containing text and graphic images
 The web 1.0 is Read Only Static Web, the first stage worldwide linking web
pages and hyperlink
 The web 2.0 is Read-write interactive web, describe a new generation of Web
services and applications with an increasing emphasis on human collaboration
 The web 3.0 is Read-write intelligent web, the application on web or mobile will
be upgraded with more features. It applies same principles as Web 2.0: two-
way interaction.
5. What are the different types of servers? 
 Application Server – a program in computer that provides the business logic for
an application program.
 Web Server – a computer program that serves requested HTML pages or files.
 Proxy Server – is a software that acts as an intermediary between an endpoint
device, such as computer and another server from which a user is requesting.
 Mail Server – is an application that receives incoming e-mail from local users
and remote senders and forward outgoing email for delivery
 File Server – is a computer responsible for central storage and management of
data files so that other computer on the same network can access them.
 Policy Server – is a security component of a policy – based network that
provides authorization services and facilities tracking and control of files.
6. Give 5 types of websites and their features. 
 Educational Website - websites of educational institutions and those offering
online courses; providing educational materials to visitors or providing
information on an educational institution to them
 Wiki or Community Forum Website - any website where various users are able
to collaborate on content and all make their own tweaks and changes as they
see fit

 Portfolio Website - sites devoted to showing examples of past work; Service
providers who want to show potential clients the quality of the work they
provide; is simpler to build than a business website and more focused on a
particular task: collecting work samples
 Media Website - collect news stories or other reporting; more likely to include
reported pieces in addition to or instead of content meant purely for
entertainment
 Web Portal - often websites designed for internal purposes at a business,
organization, or institution; collect information in different formats from
different sources into one place to make all relevant information accessible to
the people who need to see

National ISP – provided internet access to a specific geographic area.
Regional ISP – business that provides internet access in cities and towns nationwide

Domain Name System, example is www.shc.edu.ph

 Google chrome is a free web browser developed by Google, used for accessing
web pages on the internet
 Safari is a Web browser developed by Apple, Inc., and is the default browser of
the operating systems used in its product lines such as OS X for the Mac and
MacBook computers and iOS for the iPhone and iPad mobile devices
10. How can a website be of help to the healthcare industry? Give relative reasons for the

This website can help student nursing to further understand their subject or
topic and to widen their knowledge regarding their course
 Wiki or Community Forum
In hospital settings this website is very helpful for them to be updated anytime
and anywhere. If everyone working in the hospital have access to the website
then they can easily check if there is announcement.
 Portfolio Website
This website can also be helpful for the healthcare industry to show their full
potential and the hospital itself
 Media Website
This media website can help the hospital to grow because nowadays people
always tent to look at social media and media website because it is convenient
for them to get some information

This website can help the institution to make all relevant information about
them to have accessible website available to the people who need to see.
