Tagle was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI on 13 October 2011 as Archbishop of Manila ~ succeeding Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, who retired on his 79° Birth Anniversary —- and was installed on 12 December 2011 at Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion (Manila Cathedral) WHEREAS, prior to his installation, he was Bishop of Imus, Cavite, and was ordained on the same date, ten (10) years ago, to the Episcopacy by His Eminence, the late Jaime C: Makati.
