SERVICE FOR THE LORDS DAY July 17, 2011 ORGAN PRELUDE Savior, Source of Every Blessing Mozart Andante Religioso Thome WORDS OF WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS *CALL TO WORSHIP Leader: God has searched us and known us. The Lord knows when we sit down and when we rise up. People: God discerns our thoughts from far away and is acquainted with all our ways. Leader: Such knowledge is too vast and wonderful. All: The Lord knows us deeply and loves us endlessly. Praise God! *HYMN #72G Great Is Thy Faithfulness *PRAYER OF CONFESSION Lord, you have searched us and known us. You discern our thoughts from far away and are acquainted with all our ways. So you understand how lost we sometimes feel. We confess that we have acted in our own interests, without concern for others. At times we have betrayed those we love and taken things we had no right to own. Loving God, forgive our selfishness and deliver us from evil. Astound us with your mercy, ground us in your grace, and lead us in your way everlasting. *MOMENTS FOR SILENT, PERSONAL CONFESSION *ASSURANCE OF PARDON *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed (back cover of bulletin) *GLORIA PATRI (back cover of bulletin)

The Mission of the Month for July is Cornerstone Womens Resource Centers. Please keep this ministry in your prayers. Cornerstone Womens Resource Centers is a thriving Crisis pregnancy center in various locations in Salem and Cumberland Counties. Sue Smith is the executive director and is the daughter in law of our own Fay Smith. Here is a note Sue sent us: An ultrasound picture is worth a thousand words-and a few tears-as a young mother sees her unborn baby for the first time and decides she will give him life; school students learn about healthy relationships; many clients are hearing the Gospel message some for the first time; and a healing journey for pregnancy loss begins. For more information go to info@cornerstonewrc.org. Join us for a prayer time every Sunday morning in the youth lounge before church at 9:20am. There are now 12 assisted listening devices available for people to better hear the worship service. They are located in a basket in the narthex. Please return the devices to the basket at the conclusion of worship. CD copies of our worship service are available every Sunday in the narthex. Now through the end of July, congregation members will be able to choose their favorite hymn for the last hymn of the service. Be ready with your choice. We have lovely new carpeting that matches the rest of the sanctuary and narthex. It goes up to the balcony. Take a look! Thank you to our anonymous donor!
