Instruction:

1. Why it is importance to have the water familiarization first?

- It is important because before you swim, you need to be relaxed so that you avoid
having an incident or you’ll drown in water. Because drowning is a silent killer, it is
important that you’re comfortable in water first and you’re aware of the potential danger
to avoid it. Also, if you’re familiar with water, you’ll not be frightened of it.

2. What are the different characteristics of beginner students who are afraid in water?
- The different characteristics of beginner students who are afraid of water are as follows:
Shivering or shaking, even in warm water, Closing the eyes First clench, body tension,
shrugging shoulders, Crying and frequent talking Pulling back once the teacher touches
them When the teacher tries to support them, their back arches.

3. Is it important for students to at least have the basic skills in water? Why?
- It is important to have at least the basic skills in water and they also must be mastered
before trying more complex swimming skills to avoid accidents or unfortunate events
because there are dangers that are present in the environment, and it is important that
you have the basic skills because your safety should be the top priority. You also need
to be aware of the rules and behavior around the water.

4. What are the advantages/disadvantages of having the knowledge or know how to swim?

- When you have knowledge of how to swim, it will be easy for you to swim and you’ll not
be frightened of the water. The other advantage is that if you know how to swim, it can
also help you to be healthy, maintain a healthy weight, and have a healthy heart and
lungs. tones muscles and builds strength. And if you know how to swim, you can be able
to save a person’s life if they’re in danger.
- The disadvantage of swimming is that there is danger waiting for you, so it’s important to
be careful Also, you can have eye and skin irritation
