activities and it is now occupies a central role in any academic environment. Student's
academic references have changed dramatically in the recent years. The present day
students spending more time on internet and their reading and reference style is
changed drastically from the traditional methods. Many students have replaced their
text books, reference books and daily newspapers with online editions. Senthil, V.

educational institutes. This provides ready accessibility to data. Therefore,
academicians must stay well-informed with the current developments so that they do

such as they search for information differently, academic/ working achievement,
problem-solving, and personal information needs. The main gratifications are
