SYLLABUS FOR “ENGLISH FOR PRIMARY MATH 1”

 Time Allotment(Thời lượng) : 35 weeks (1 period/week- 1 period: 35 minutes)


 Course books (Tài liệu chính) : English for Primary Math 1- Student’s Book
 Supplementary materials (Tài liệu bổ trợ) : Supplementary Worksheets for Level 1 + Flashcards, CD-rom

 Course Objectives (Mục tiêu khoá học):


By the end of this course, students will be able to:
 develop the confidence and competence to learn Maths in English
 foster a positive attitude toward learning English and Maths
 use the vocabulary and model sentences to learn core Maths topics

 Teaching approach (Phương pháp giảng dạy):


 The Content and Language Integrated (CLIL) is applied.
 Feedback for students’ performance should also be given timely and regularly to build up their confidence and improve their
performance.
 Lessons should be planted basing on the student’s needs and their characteristics.
 Pronunciation practice should always be focused on during class hours
 Pair and group-work activities should be applied and encouraged together with the individual ones
 Students are encouraged to take part in class activities.
