PHONETIC FOOLISHNESS (TONGUE Wear but weary, heard but beard

TWISTER POEM) Dread but dreary, earned but eared


Bait is gait and strait but plaid
Leave out the “G” in gnaw and gnat
If you pronounce head, dead and bead
You’ll hear the last word rhyme with deed
Sward but sword and word but Lord
And in this “poem” you will find
Load and toad and road but broad
Many items of its kind
Cereal does not sound like seal
Real is not like zeal and heal
For instance:
Dear and fear and hear but bear
Mint but pint and cork but work
Gear and fear but wear and tear
Dull and gull and hull but full
Yeast and least and beast but pleasant
Lull and skull abut bull and pull
Beast but breast and pleased but peasant
Our flour, but tour and pour

The last word rhymes with freight and
Pronounce it like don and dawn
