Teacher Notes
Thank you so much for downloading this freebie! These math task cards can be used in so many
ways! You can use them in a center, for the whole group, as an exit slip, for one on one help, for
test prep (rotate different card stations on different days around the room), with a parent helper
(if you have one) for RTI, and more.
I actually wrote a blog post called 16 Ways to Use Task Cards, which might be helpful to you.
Click here to read 16 Ways to Use Task Cards.
Another blog post you may like is called How to Use Task Cards with Board Games. Board Games
make task cards even more fun!
How to Use Task Cards with Board Games
One of the things that’s so great about task cards is that kids love them and it seems like less of a
chore than doing a worksheet. They especially love it when you play “Scoot”, where kids solve
task cards around the room and they are able to get out of their seats and move around to solve
the task cards.
A few notes about printing the task cards…If you don’t want to use colored ink, the cards may be
printed in black and white, as there isn’t an abundance of colored ink on them. If you go with this
option, I would recommend backing them with colored paper to make them pop. Another option is
to print them on brightly colored paper.
Also, to organize the cards, I would really recommend that you laminate the cards and either hole
punch a corner and put them on a ring or store them in a photo box, shoebox, a shower caddy, or
a hanging over-the-door-shoe holder.
Finally, this set of 32 task cards is also included in a deeply discounted bundle of 30 sets of task
cards. These task cards cover ALL math standards for the year!
Thanks again,
Jenn
