The basic principles of green design thinking in the built environment,
environmental issues and design processes that enable the designer to
create a more sustainable world. The course presents the concepts and
ARC terminology of architecture, with an explanation of its development, as well as a
143 study of the context of the movement of buildings. In addition to studying the
impact of human interaction with the built environment, natural
processes. Basic principles for improving energy efficiency, internal
environmental quality, and land use.

Lec.1
Environmental architecture

Defined:
It is an architecture that reacts positively
to its environment, achieving an
environment conducive to human life in
the present... And in the future.
The term green
architecture is a
metaphor for
environmentally
friendly
architecture

Values of nature Hearing comfort
It has become one of the priorities of
architecture to strive for a design that
takes into account life and aims to
reconstruct and develop the land with
what is called environmental design.

Lec.1
This endeavor is based on
getting as close to the
environment as possible and
its natural components

Lec.1
What environmental design means as a term is

"Part of the built-up environmental design process is

concerned with providing safe and comfortable
environmental conditions for humans at the lowest
cost"
And environmental design is also

"A systematic process of designing

buildings and urban communities to ensure
that they are compatible with the climate
and provide the right climatic conditions for
their residents"

Lec.1
The most important objectives of environmental design are:

 Achieving comfort for users of the

vacuum.
 Maintaining fossil fuel capacity.
 Reducing pollution from fossil fuels.
 Providing safe climatic conditions.
 Achieving these goals at the lowest cost.

Lec.1
Gradients and divisions of environmental design:

The surrounding environment of man ranges from the building

in which man lives to the void surrounding the earth's ball and
knowing these gradients is important in knowing the type and how
to design each environmental division, knowing that each of them
affects and affects the other.

Lec.1
‫الغالف الجوي‬
Gradients and divisions of environmental design:
‫المدينة‬

‫المنطقة التخطيطية‬ Building: It is the first void in which man lives directly
‫المبنى‬ and deals directly with him or the first environment that
receives man and falls under the architectural design
‫اإلنسان‬
and contains the exact details of the building.

Urban: It is a wider environment than the building environment, which contains a range of
buildings and contains a few fine details, but regulates the relationship between buildings and
falls under urban design.
City: It contains a number of previous planning areas and is more comprehensive and regulates
the relationship between planning areas and may carry different environments, for example, it is
possible that one city has an industrial and residential planning area, which regulates the
relationship between these environments and falls according to urban planning.

Bio Sphere: Is the complete void that surrounds the entire globe and falls according to
regional design.

Lec.1
Environmental design trends:

Several trends aimed at achieving

environmental design have evolved in
different ways, each of which has its
own priorities. Although there are
several entrances to environmental

‫؟‬
design, each focuses on the same
environmental topics and the end result
of all entries is similar.
