Hang up the engine in the lifting tool.

Attach the engine. Fit the front engine mounting pad in
the guiding pin. Tighten the front and rear attachments.
Note. Let the engine hang a little (around 1 mm)
above the rear engine mounting pads. Tighten the
screws crosswise and finally to the torque specified in
“Specifications”, group 20.

Remove the lifting equipment.

Fit the gearbox.

Fit the nuts to the upper half of the bell housing (23)
and torque tighten.
Remove the lifting equipment.
Fit the remaining bell housing nuts (22) and torque
tighten.
Fit the clutch servo (21).
Fit the propeller shaft (20) and torque tighten, see group 4.
Fit the steering servo reservoir (18) and gear change
cables. Tighten the cover above the controls.
Fit the piping for the compressor relief discharge and
suction (17).
Fit the fuel supply pipes (15).
Fit the electrical contacts to the cable channels (3).
Fit the power steering pump suction and pressure
hoses (14).
Fit the hose to the exhaust pressure governor (13).

Fit the fan shroud (7).

Fit the wiring and the pre-heater plate (6).
Fit the dipstick pipe (16).
Fit the clamp for the upper intercooler hose (6).
Fit all coolant hoses on the right side (4).
Fit the feed line to the air drier (9).
Fit the lower intercooler hose (10).
Fit the starter motor cables (11).
Fit the throttle housing (8).
Fit the earth connection (3) onto the right rear engine
anchorage.
Fit the air filter housing (2). Don’t forget the electrical
contact.
Fit the inlet pipe (1) between the turbo and the air
filter housing. Don’t forget to connect the hose to the
compressor.
Fit the shield above the turbo.
Fit the sound baffles on the top frame, right and left sides,
and behind the air filter housing.

Fill the power steering tank with fluid.

Fill with coolant.
With a new or renovated engine, fill with engine oil.

Bleed the fuel system.

Start the engine and check for leakage.
