Agro & Agro Processing Industry
A dedicated Agro Industrial policy providing special incentives to the agro industry investors based on the size and projects with minimum fixed capital investment of Rs 250 million under Mega Project Scheme. Punjab Agri Export Corporation is providing 25% to 30% subsidy on waxing/grading, packing and freight for distant marketing & Export of fresh and processed vegetables. 10 pack houses are being set in fruit & vegetable clusters of Punjab A Permanent Perishable Cargo Centre is being set up at Amritsar International Airport. Punjab Agro Juices Ltd. (PAJL) operates two plants at Hoshiarpur and Abohar to process citrus, tropical fruits and vegetables. Punjab Agro Juices Limited has todate processed about 34,000 MT of a variety of raw materials like Kinnow, amla, Aloevera, Tomato, Lauki etc for its clients.
