ACTIVITY TITLE: Case Analysis
CASE STORY TITLE: Natural Reserve Institute of Barangay Bayalse

Conflict Identification

Barangay Bayalse is experiencing the bad effects of global warming, such as flooding, landslides,
and drought. These disasters are causing their livelihood to fall, and the residents lose their
homes and evacuate instead. The situation is causing anxiety to people who need help, but no
hands are offered. I also think that one of the main problems is the lack of information for
people.

Plan of Action

What Barangay Bayalse needs is help. A help from the government, who could control the
situation. Indeed, natural disasters are unexpected, but people could be oriented on what to do if
an emergency occurs. I suggest that a group of experts in weather, building, and bringing stock of
relief goods. Also, they will teach the people the proper lifestyle in taking care of their
environment. There will be no time frame for this because natural disasters can happen anytime,
and people will need help. But if that happens and this proposal goes on, people will be calmer
and oriented on what to do, given that they are provided with the help they need.

Reflection

I felt hopeless when I read the case because there is a possibility that Barangay Bayalse's
situation will happen to the whole country if the damaging of the environment continues. I also
thought about how the people felt more hopeless when they saw their homes drown in flooding,
see their loved ones die, and even lose their livelihood. I know that the community in the
barangay didn't just cause these effects, but the whole world in general. Every individual is
responsible for whatever the earth is giving us.
