1. What is R.A 9163?

- An Act establishing the National Service Training Program (NSTP) for Tertiary
Level Students, amending for the purpose Republic Act No.7077 and Presidential
Decree No.1706. It recognizes the youth’s vital role in nation-building, the State
shall promote civic consciousness among the youth and shall develop their
physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It shall inculcate in the
youth patriotism, nationalism, and advance their involvement in public and civic
affairs.

2. Differentiate the three program component of NSTP;

a. Literacy Training Service

- The National Service Training Program, which trains students in higher and
vocational education in the Philippines in civic education and defense readiness,
has three parts, one of which is the Literacy Training Service (LTS). A program
called the LTS is intended to prepare students to teach literacy and numeracy
skills to schoolchildren, out-of-school adolescents, and other parts of society.
b. Civic Welfare Training Service
- The Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) is a program that contributes to the
overall well-being of the community's residents and the improvement of its
facilities, particularly those focused on enhancing the community's health,
education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation, and morale, among
other things.
c. Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.
- One of the three parts of the National Service Training Program, which provides
Filipino college students with civic education and defense preparation, is the
Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). In order to educate students for
national defense readiness, ROTC aspires to provide military education and
training.
 3. As a youth in today’s world, what is your role in young ones being the next leaders of the
society or community?

- As a youth of today’s world, one of our roles of being the next leaders of this nation is to
provide ourselves a good quality education that will teach us the reality of today’s world. The
responsibilities and duties that we will encounter while studying will provide us a training and
will be a part of our experiences to get ready for the fight of the reality in today’s world. It will
prepare us in such activities and such events that we weill surely encounter and face when it is
our time to lead this nation. Also being aware will help us to be alert at all cost and to what is
happening in our surroundings andto this nation so that when it is our time to lead this nation we
can provide solutions and give attentions to those issues that the previous leaders didn’t give
attention to it.
