DYNAMIC STRETCH
Sudden rapid stretch of MS Muscle spindle This will depend on specific stretch reflexes. For uniformity in answer, consider the knee jerk. (Ia afferents of the femoral n.) L2-L4
STATIC STRETCH
Tonic stretch of muscle spindle Muscle spindle This will depend on specific stretch reflexes. For uniformity in answer, consider reflex originating from the biceps femoris. (II afferents of the femoral n.) L2-L4
INVERSE STRETCH
Mechanical stimulation GTO- Golgi Tendon Organ This will depend on specific stretch reflexes. For uniformity in answer, consider the knee jerk as well. (Ib afferents of femoral n.) L2-L4

You may choose to add more parameters per organ system. The exam will not be limited to the above parameters, and will include those in your Physiology books.
This will constitute your first consolidation activity for the year. Fill up this table as a lab group, and submit your answers on July 2 (Saturday) 5pm, to my email address kmmddpps2007@yahoo.com. Each member in that file will receive 0.1 point added to the shifting grade. So, each file should get a total of 1.2 points for 12 members. The answers should be consolidated enough. Lengthy answers that were just cut and pasted will not get total points. You may use arrows where applicable.
JOINT LECTURE FOR Sections B and A, on Wednesday July 29, 1 5 pm, so that Section A can have additional time studying for the Long Quiz on Friday.
