1. When will the online visa appointment system be


opened?

A. The online system will be opened at 2pm on Wednesday


14 September 2022. From 2pm on 14 September onwards,
you will be allowed to access the online system.

2. What is the purpose of launching of the online system?


A. This system is to make an appointment through an


online means to visit the Embassy for submission of your
visa applications. You are NOT requested to line up in
front of the Embassy.

3. How can I make an appointment through the online


system?

A. Please visit the Embassy’s website or Facebook page


for information on how to apply for a Korean visa.

4. Am I still allowed to make a walk-in visit to the Embassy


for visa application?

A. NO. Regardless of visa types including spouse visa, you


are required to make an appointment to visit the Embassy
through the online system. Walk-in applicants for Korean
visas are NO LONGER accepted starting Thursday 15
September 2022.

5. Do I still need to make an appointment through the


online system even if I am going to apply for a Korean
visa through the accredited travel agency?

A. NO. The accredited travel agency needs to make an


appointment through the online system.

6. Can I make an appointment on behalf of my friends


who will travel together to Korea?

A. NO. Your friends are requested to make a separate


individual appointment through the online system. Your
appointment made on behalf of your friends will be
cancelled by the Embassy.

7. Can I make an appointment on behalf of someone?

A. NO. Only either an actual visa applicant or a staff


member designated by an accredited travel agency must
make an appointment through the online system. That is
why you are asked to put your passport number or the
name of the accredited travel agency in the field of
Special Requests.

i. When we find that you are not an actual visa applicant,


you and the applicant that you are associated with will be
blacklisted. Your appointment will be cancelled by the
Embassy.

8. Can I make an appointment on behalf of my family


members who will travel together to Korea?

A. YES, but you are allowed to make an appointment only for


yourself and your parents and children. Your appointments for
your cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives will be
cancelled by the Embassy.
i. Please note that you need to put all the passport numbers and
full names of your family members in the field of Special Request.
Please read the Guidelines on How to Schedule Your Appointment
posted at the Embassy’s website and Facebook page.

B. Can I make double and more appointments?


i. NO. All of your appointments will be cancelled by the Embassy.
ii. When we learn that you are not an actual visa applicant, you
and the applicant that you are associated with will be
blacklisted.
