The document lists and describes 15 parts/elements of a computer and their functions, including the computer case, motherboard, CPU, RAM, graphics card, sound card, hard disk drive, computer speaker, mouse, keyboard, monitor, power supply unit, solid state drive, printer, and flash memory. It explains that each component has a specific role like processing data, storing data, input/output of data, and powering the system. Together these parts make up a fully functioning computer system.

ACTIVITY 5 DIRECTION: ENNUMERATE THE PARTS/ELEMENTS OF COMPUTER AND ITS FUNCTION
PARTS/ELEMENTS OF COMPUTER ITS FUNCTION
1. Computer case This is the part that holds all of the parts of a computer to make up the computer system. It usually designed in such a manner to make fitting a motherboard wiring and drives as easy as possible. 2. Motherboard The motherboard is thye main board that is screwed directly inside the computer case all other cards and everything else plugs directly into the motherboard. Its involves integrating all the physical component to communicate and operate together. 3. Central processing unit (CPU) Is basically like the brain of computer system it process all the information on a computational level. It takes all the processes from the ram and process it to perform the tasks required by computer system. 4. Random access memory (RAM) RAM is the data storage device that can provide fast read and write access. The RAM keeps data ready for the CPU to process and it is a big contributor to the overall speed of a computer system. 5. Graphics card (GPU) Is an output device that process the data from the motherboard and send the appropriate information to the computers screen for display. It can be referred to as a video or display card. 6. Sound card Most of the time the sound chip into the motherboard is used for audio output. A sound processing chip on the card does all the audio processing and is usually not a very powerful processor. 7. Hard disk drive (HDD) A hard drive is still found in most computers to this day, its usually a mechanical drive that stores all the data. It can also be used as a boot drive to run the operating system from it. 8. Computer speaker Computer speaker can connect up to the sound card at the rear of the computer, another way can be connected is by a monitor that already has built in speakers. 9. Mouse A mouse is an input device that allows the user to move a pointer displayed on the monitor and experience a more intuitive interaction with computer system. The three main bottons allow the user to select, grab ,scroll and access extra menus and option. 10. keyboard Is an input device that is one of the ways to communicate with computer. Typing a keyboard sends a small portion of data to tell the computer which key was pressed. 11. Monitor A monitor is an output device use to visualize the graphics data sent from the computers. 12. Power supply unit (PSU) A power supply unit mounts inside the computer case . This converts the AC main supply from the power cord from a wall socket and supplies the correct DC voltage to all the components inside the computer. 13. Solid state drive (SSD) An SSD is also a type of hard drive, but it doesn’t have any moving parts . It consists of a blank of flash memory that can hold a reasonable amount of data. 14. Printer Produce printed copies of computer output. 15. Flash memory Used to read flash memory cards
