In this evidence you are going to read an article about the way people around
the world spend their vacations. Then you have to do a description about the
way people spend their vacations in your country and answer the questions. /
En esta evidencia usted va a leer un texto acerca de cómo pasan las personas
sus vacaciones alrededor del mundo. Luego debe hacer una descripción sobre
cómo son las vacaciones en su país y responder las preguntas.

Vacations around the world

Vacation time is a very important part in the life of all people in the world.
People from different cultures spend their vacations in different ways. The
number of vacation days ranges from 10 to 30, being the Europeans such as
Germans, French and Swede the luckiest for having 30 days of vacations; the
Latin American countries with a big number of vacation days are Brazil,
Panama and Peru with 25 days. The unluckiest country is China having just 10
days and being vacations not mandatory. Taking into account this aspect,
people can decide what to do and how to enjoy their vacations. Let’s see what
people from Germany, Brazil and China say about their future vacations.

What are you going to do in your next vacations?

I want to visit some friends all along
Europe. First, I’m going to France to visit
my friend Jan Pierre in Lion, I’m staying
for a couple of weeks there. Then I
would like to go to Italy to visit my cousin
Florentina, I’m going to Venice with her.
Finally, I want to go to England to spend
one week with my family that live there.

Well I’m planning to go to Rio and spend
a week there, I have my girlfriend there
and we are meeting the first week. Then
I want to know Colombia. I haven’t been
there and my friend told me is a great
destination. Finally I am staying home
and rest for the last week before starting
my work again.

1. Which aspects do you think play an important role in deciding what

to do on vacations?

I believe that when planning a vacation, the first aspect to take into
account is time and the second most important is money, since without
having these two organized, it is most likely that the vacation will not be
carried out in its entirety by mishaps. that these two factors come to
cause.

2. What do people like to do the most on their vacations?

We can generalize that what people like to do most on their vacations is

to discover new places, try different foods, dive in the sea, play and, most
importantly, rest from the monotony of the city.

3. Which plan do you like the most and why?

My favorite plan with my family is to go to the sea to places like Santa

Marta, Cartagena and San Andres to enjoy the weather, the food, the
 people, the clubs and the great landscapes that these places offer us.
These places offer us tourist sites such as the walled city, the castle of
San Felipe de Barajas, Playa Blanca, the Rodadero Sea Aquarium and
Museum, Johnny Cay and others, where we can enjoy a delicious lunch
and a pleasant time on the beach.

C. Write a short paragraph about how is the vacation time in your country.
Include information such as the typical number of days a person gets for
vacations, the most common activities people do, and the famous places
people visit. / Escriba un párrafo corto acerca de cómo son las vacaciones
en su país. Incluya información como el número típico de días que una
persona tiene para vacaciones, las actividades más comunes que las
personas hacen, y los sitios famosos que la gente visita.

In my country, vacations are very good and enjoyable for most people,
since there is a great variety of tourist destinations around the country,
including the seas and beaches, the coffee region and the coffee zones, the
plains environment and others. where you can happily enjoy your family
thanks to the people, food and landscapes that various places offer to
Colombians and foreigners.

The most visited places in my country are Santa Marta, Cartagena, San
Andres, the plains, the coffee region and Medellin due to their high demand
in meeting the expectations of travelers with their great socio-cultural
characteristics.
