REPLY/ANSWER AFFIDAVIT

In relation to the complaint of my wife Mariza Pascual y Cacho against me and

according to her statement, that on September 5, 2022 at 8 o’ clock in the evening, her
friend Marites Calasagan y Sagasao told that when she was riding in a taxi on her way
home, the latter saw me in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte entered an apartelle with a lady,
holding her hand while walking which she presumed instantly that I have a mistress,
whereupon she took a photo of me together with the lady of whom she knew it was my
other woman and she sent it to my wife who is in the other province in which she
assumed also that I am committing an infidelity to her and I have a concubine that drove
her to file a complaint against me.

I, GERALD C. CACHO, of legal age, married, Filipino, presently residing at
Barangay Guerrero, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, after having been duly sworn to
in accordance with the law, do hereby depose and state:
1. That on September 5, 2022 verily, I went into an apartelle in San Nicolas,
Ilocos Norte at 8 o’clock in the evening with a lady named Angel Rivera y
Geronimo who is working in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
2. That on the same day, I went to 7/11 store near Mang Inasal in Laoag City to
get my parcel which I ordered from an online seller, after getting the item I
went inside Mang Inasal to eat, while I was eating, Angel Rivera y Geronimo
who was then my friend in high school saw me, and as a friend I ordered food
for her and we have some friendly conversations inside not knowing that she is
working there as manager.

3. That after eating, she said that she needs to go because her son was waiting
and the last passenger jeep might leave soon, hence, I offered her a ride in my
car since we have the same direction to go.

4. That after reaching the apartelle in San Nicolas where they live, she said that
she was dizzy due to over fatigue and sleeplessness which caused her to be
unable to walk properly, thus, I assisted her by holding her hand going inside
the apartelle until we reached their room.

 5. That after assisting her, I left them with her son immediately since she was
already inside their room and I walked away, and the fact that I held her hand
while we were walking is because she can not walk alone that time and as a
public servant, it is necessary to provide any kind of help or assistance
whoever in need.
6. That the allegation of Marites Calasagan y Sagasao telling that I have a
mistress and sending false presumption to my wife causing her to assume the
same thing is clearly a defamation that blemishes my personality and
reputation as a public servant.
