Narrative Report.

I am Mia G. Geraldino, a fourth-year irregular student taking up a Bachelor of Public

Administration, I have taken my OJT (On-job-training) at Gubat St. Anthony Cooperative Bulan
Branch this year in 2022. I started the first week of August starting the 6 th day of the month and
ended by the month of September 24, 2022. Completing the time of 300 hours with the working
hours and days of the following activities. I am not sure if I should be anxious or pleased that I
will finally able to experience the so-called “real world.” When I am doing it the first-time anxiety
and timidity are constant. There are numerous things on my mind for various reasons. As a
result, I am unfamiliar with the office staff, lack relevant experience, and we are still unsure of
the exact nature of the task we will be performing entire on job training I initially became silent
since I was trying to figure out how to get along with the office staff.

But as the goes by, I started to loosen up as I am enjoying their company. They are all kind and
approachable. Ma’am Genalyn Balmes, Our OJT coordinator orients us on the task that they
are doing inside the cooperative. I have been sorting the files in the storage room because they
said our work is very limited only because of their confidentiality. Sometimes we use the
computer to get the passbook number of clients’ loan forms. My nervousness and shyness
during my first week have gone. It is hard to survive the first week of my OJT but I know that this
will help me learn to stand alone and have the courage to face all the challenges that come
every day.

As a Bachelor of Public Administration, I have developed as an intern to follow strict instructions

to ensure that the process is properly sequenced. I can say that I gained to work effectively and
competently in the cooperative. From the moment I step on my feet in the cooperative, I know I
will be facing different challenges being a part of the cooperative but at the same time, I know
will learn new things regarding the possible work that I will do in the cooperative.

Experience is the best teacher and nothing compares to the knowledge that it can give to us. It
may be hard at first. But once we learn to appreciate and love what we are doing, it became
easier and easier every day. As a former trainee, the course I enrolled in is exactly where I want
and I will probably stay in this profession for as long as job opportunities are present. The
connections that I would make at an internship can go far. And might help me in ways that I
never expected.

Problem Encountered

 Most of the time clients’ loan form does not have a passbook number.

Solution Implemented
 If does not have passbook number on client’s loam form no transaction.

Conclusion and Recommendation

Students need value on-the-job training since it allows them to develop their skills in a real-world
setting while also expanding the knowledge gained from their years of formal study into practice.
That there is still a lot to learn from the real world.

The opportunity to hire students who are open-minded, intellectually current, goal-oriented, and
who do not yet anticipate a high salary makes OJT a valuable source of labor. the benefit of
OJT is that gives students exposure to potential employers and the chance to get employed
based on the demands of the company and their performance.

With these insights, I advocate OJT being a necessary requirement for students to graduate
from various schools and universities, regardless of these subjects of study.
