- Whenever I think of Filipino art, these are what comes to mind. I think that each of
these art forms are essential to Filipino art because of our culture that has been
cultivated for years from being under Spanish, American, Japanese influence, to
ultimately combining said forms to be what it is today.
What’s New
1. The pieces represent Filipino culture, such as making the flag and gathering around
singing folk songs.
2. The pieces reflect our culture by way of introducing national artifacts such as the
Philippine flag which is integral to our culture, the flag represents our freedom to be
our own country and to develop our nation independently whilst also being supported
by our community, represented by multiple people making the flag.

1. The piece emphasizes the elements of fire and different shades of red, which represent
anger and passion. The heart, burning with anger that is emphasized by being
disproportionately bigger than Christ and being the center of the piece. The elements
present most present are shapes, line, and color. The principles mostly present are
rhythm and harmony.
Assessment
1. Through line of action, we can see that the people present are moving to the right,
their gestures imply movement and action, within the context provided, they are
carrying a bahay kubo, which is a staple in Filipino architectural art.
2. The piece involves the main hue of a blueish green, enveloping the characters in the
piece, a visually satisfying color that symbolizes peace and calmness.
