19. Shanta runs an industry in a shed which is in the shape of a cuboid surmounted
by a half cylinder. If the base of the shed dimension 7m by 15 m, and if the area
of the four walls of the cuboid is 352 m2. Suppose the machinery in the shed
occupies a total space of 300 m3, and there are 20 workers, each of whom
occupy about 0.08m3 space on an average.

34. A TV tower stands vertically on a bank of a canal. From a point on the other 5
bank directly opposite the tower, the angle of elevation of the top of the tower
is 60°. From another point 20 m away from this point on the line joining this
point to the foot of tower, the angle of elevation of the top of the tower is 30 .
Find the height of the tower and the width of the canal.
36. In an equilateral triangle ABC, D is a point on side BC such that BD = 1/3 BC. 5
Prove that 9 AD2 = 7 AB2

In an equilateral triangle, prove that three times the square of one side is equal
to four times the square of one of its altitudes.
