the word (Monday) on board, or he/she just need to spell it in
his/her own place.
- Then ask them questions such as (What comes after Monday?..
or When is the weekend in our country?… etc).
- Ask different questions and repeat this for many times
.
Motivation - Check the students notebooks and praise them for the beautiful
hand writings and stick colorful emoji stickers on their note
books to encourage them practice more writing and pay more
attention to their notebooks and handwritings, also write
positive feed backs on their notebooks.

Presentation - Start the new lesson, ask the children to open their Student
books on page 10, And Show them the flash cards one by one.
- Ask them in kurdish language (What are these professions in
kurdish?).
- Then ask in kurdish language (Do you know these professions

children three times, and then write the new vocabulary on
board for children to know the spelling.
- Play CD track 11. The children listen and point to the
vocabulary pictures.
- Help the children to say the words they know in English.
- Then start to explain each job and define it. For example, A
chef cooks food, A doctor treats patients…etc.
- Repeat this twice or three times.

Practicing - Ask the children to close their books, hide the flash cards and erase
the words on board, say the words slowly or play the CD track and
ask the children to listen and write it on their note books.
- Repeat the words and spell them so the children check what they
have written.

Production - Do an activity to be sure that they understood and also for

learning and having fun at the same time. Ask the students to
work in pairs and each write a sentence about his/her favorite
job and why they like this job?
- Give them some time and then make them participate together
and ask and answer together.

Review and Assessment - At the end of class, encourage students to write what they
learned on a whiteboard. This is a great way to review all of
the material at once, and students can work together to write
things on the board. You can also see which students are
struggling and might need some extra help. Once your students
are finished, go over the information on the board as a class
and correct any misinformation or resolve any
misunderstandings. And if there was too much trouble explain
the lesson briefly if necessary.

Assignment - Ask the children to write the new vocabulary that they studied
on their notebooks twice.
- Also ask the children to Solve the activities 1 & 3 in Page 12,
of the activity book.

Materials - White Board - Marker & Eraser - Student's Book p10; Activity
Book p12; CD track 11; flashcards for professions.
