The source is about where to sell and how to price products, specifically hand-made
beaded jewelry. I chose this course since it is important to know how to price the product
properly and where to sell them before starting the business. People can sell their beaded
jewelry by setting up a booth at a craft show or flea market and can sell online. If one
gained enough money, he can also rent a storefront or buy a website and do business
through it. For pricing jewelry, first, one needs to count for the cost of materials. Figuring
out the price for each piece of the bead and other materials such as string and tools is
also necessary. Considering the price of shipping, waste, packaging, and damages are
important. Then, try a couple of pieces at different prices and see customers’ reactions. If
they sell like hotcakes, it means the price is too low. If they are not being sold, it means
the prices are likely too high. In addition, take trends into consideration and make things
what people want.

This video is showing how to make a daisy chain bracelet with seed beads and a few
other supplies. For the project, I will make beaded jewelry targeting teenagers. Thus, it is
necessary to know how to make trendy jewelry for them. A flower bracelet was a 90s
aesthetic type of beaded jewelry and it is back in style. In this video, the instructor made a
bracelet with three colours of beads using a needle for beading and crimps to hide the
nuts. The video explains how to connect the double threads to the needle and crimps to
the end of the thread. In addition, it also includes a way of ordering the beads according to
the colour, for instance, the position of bead that needs to go into the center of the flower,
and shows the certain point where the needle needs to go through to form a flower shape.
In the end, the video shows how to finish making a bracelet properly without letting it be
cut off easily.

In this video, the instructor shows how to make trendy cherry beaded jewelry with a chain.
I chose this video because compared to other videos making beaded jewelry by hand
using only thread, this video used a needle for beading, crystal beads for making a cherry
shape, and connected the end to the chain which made it look more professional. The
person started making a necklace with the crimp, flatted it and covered it with the clasp.
The except for making cherry shapes by linking three beads: one green bead and two red
beads, into a triangle shape, the rest of the part was beaded with white beads. In the end,
the person tied the end of the thread, covered it with a crimp then clasp, and connected
the chain at the end.

This video talks about how Kamryn Johnson and her friends started selling bracelets back
in May to raise money for struggling communities. I chose this video to find out how selling
handmade jewelry can help society. Kamryn Johnson sold bracelets in front of the stadium
and raised $130,000 and gave a positive impact on society. Even though I will not be able
to earn as much as Kamryn and her friends I would still donate the raised money from
selling beaded jewelry to the part of society that needs help.

This article explains the necessity of having sales experience. For the project, I would like
to sell jewelry on the street for my personal improvement. I wanted to learn how I can
improve my skills through selling experience which was the reason why I chose this
article. Generally, working in sales strengthens a person’s mental endurance. It also builds
critical skills that are necessary for success. It is more likely to hear “no” from the
customers when one tries to sell the product. By going through this experience, one can
how to deal with rejection and thick skin. It also teaches one to think on one’s feet. Since
one never knows the customers’ reactions and it teaches how to listen and adapt to their
objections. It also improves one’s public speaking skills, so one can pitch a new idea to a
team, and respond to a real-time public relations crisis. One can improve socializing,
negotiation, and detective skills as well. One would also learn how to appeal to people’s
needs and earn trust.

This article explains the reason why having sales experience is important for getting jobs
in the future. Along with the competition in business continuing to intensify, many
industries are looking for productive employees who possess the skills and knowledge.
Because of that, most of the classes provide students with a "real world" sales
environment by coordinating and integrating classes in sales, purchasing, and sales
management. I would like to take the capstone project as an opportunity to prepare myself
for future occupations. As the article describes, to become a successful entrepreneur, one
needs to have real experience in purchasing, selling and managing. It supports that selling
beaded jewelry will teach me the requisite skills and will prepare me for the future.
