LESSON PLAN

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
AND HEALTH Teaching Date and Time October 7, 2022 1:00pm

I. Objectives
a. Content At the end of the lesson, learners can demonstrate an understanding of:
Standard 1. Demonstrate understanding of fitness and exercise in optimizing one’s health as a habit; as requisite for physical activity
assessment performance, and as a career opportunity.
b. Performance At the end of the lesson, learners will be able to leads fitness events with proficiency and confidence resulting in independent pursuit
Standard and influencing others positively.
c. Learning 1. Distinguishes aerobic from muscle and bone strengthening activities. (PEH11FH-Ia-1)
Competency 2. Engages in moderate to vigorous physical activities (MVPAs) for at least 60 min. most days of the week in a variety of
settings in and out of school. (PEH11FH-Ia-t-8)
3. Demonstrates proper etiquette and safety in the use of facilities and equipment. (PEH11FH-Ia-t-12)

Preliminary Activities (2 mins)


 Prayer
One of the students leads.
 Greetings
 Checking of Attendance
Introduction of the topic
 Provide background/history of the topic.
 Establish the purpose of the topic.
 Ask related real life events or fictional story that is related to

 Video/Clip picture slides on example of aerobic and muscle and bone
strengthening activities which show also a proper etiquette and safety in
proper use of facilities and equipment (only if facilities are available in
school).
 Venn Diagram. Each group are given 5 Meta card which contain several  Students fill out the Venn Diagram.
exercises for fitness and determine what kind of exercise fitness it is and
paste it inside the Venn diagram.

Discussion
What are the two (2) kinds of exercise for fitness. Why do we need to know the
difference between the two.

Summary
Give a brief summary of the concept of the topic.

V. Assessment Group Activity (2 groups) Students practice and perform the given task.
1 group will perform aerobic exercise and the other group will perform muscle
and bone strengthening activities.

(Note: provide them 5 minutes to practice and 3 minutes to perform)
