UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE

FOR SOCIETAL SERVICES

Introduction:
If we had the power to travel back in time to just a few years ago, we
would notice that the idea of possessing a genuine flying object such
as a drone would seem more of fiction than a fact. But the situation
is not likewise in the present day environment. Modern technology
develops at a really expeditious pace. The purpose for which the
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) technology was originally created
has now extended to various other fields and the area of its usage
still has the capability to be broadened. There are various loopholes
in the working of society which act as hurdles in the swift
functioning of human life which can be fixed up using the efficient
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) technology.

Problems:
Whenever we read a newspaper, we are bound to see some sort of
bulletins that are heart-wrenching. Every day the newspaper is filled
with information about crime, pollution, theft, accidents, resource
depletion and many other problems related to the public sector.
 We often see that many innocent people lose their lives due to
road accidents, the most common reason being the lack of
immediate medical treatment.
 Every day, six out of ten people violate the traffic rules which is
the result of the mismanagement of the roads.
 Potholes are a problem to be raised which causes
inconvenience to the society in daily life acting as a barrier to
proper functioning of roads.

Problem Statement:
There are no proper provisions which exist for solving the various
societal problems that continue to exist in the community and
hinder the development and progress and are widespread. These
problems continue to be overlooked by the mankind as no proper
solutions exist for the same.

Solution:
All these problems require a stern solution that can contribute to the
swift functioning of the society. There is a need to come up with a
unique idea which requires less human supervision and more
Artificial Intelligence (A.I.).
 One such solution is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) also
known as a Drone.
 The UAV technology gained great commercial interest around
2010 and since then miraculously has shown hype.
 Drones are such structures which extend their benefits to each
aspect of functioning of society.
 Be it virtual reality or any other commercial or social use.
 However, the complete potential of the drones is still
undiscovered.
Mechanism (Our Futuristic Vision – The Revolutionary
Drone):
The drone which has been envisaged by us has various mechanical
components. The special features in our drone are as follows: -
I. High quality First-Person View(FPV) cameras which provide
intense and realistic aerial imaging.
II. Global Positioning System(GPS) so that the exact position of
drone can easily be tracked by the authorities.
III. Thermal sensors for detection of crowd when accident takes
place.
IV. Inbuilt software chips for proper identification of accidents,
water leakage sites, thefts and various other purposes.
V. Hi-Tech Bluetooth for sending alerts to the concerned
authorities.

Working of our drone:

The drone visualized by us can serve the mankind in the many ways.
 Keeping in mind the day-to-day accidental situations our drone
will monitor the roads supported with high quality aerial
imaging providing us a clear, broader, and accurate view of the
accidents.
 As soon as the drone locates any crowd or accident within its
range, it will notify the officials of the concerned sectors
including the police, hospitals and fire stations also providing
the precise accident locations to these authorities using its
Global Positioning System (GPS).
 Similarly, in case any person violates the traffic rules the drone
will capture the car registration number mentioned on the
number plate helping the traffic police to identify the owner of
the vehicle and will send an online compensation to the
registered mobile number of the owner.
 Our drone will also surveil the roads and if in case there are
some potholes on the roads or the road surface is uneven then
it will notify the concerned authorities that is the municipal
corporation so that they can work on enhancing the condition
of the roads.
 In addition to this, whenever our drone spots any kind of water
leakage on the roads, it will notify the concerned authorities by
sending them the exact location where the water is flowing
unpurposely.
 We unfortunately experience on the roads, not only threats
from irresponsible drivers but also threats to life and property
from the criminals who target the roads and pavements.
 For example, ladies who carry open jute bags or the purses
equipped with magnetic buttons can easily be robbed and they
wouldn’t even come to know about it.
 Therefore, our drone will keep a track of such instances and
will report them to the responsible organization that is the
police forces which will not only help the person who is being
robbed but will also lend a helping hand to the police.

Reasons for the acceptance of our project by the

society:
However, we know that our drone has various features but in
addition to the efficiency of a project, what makes it applicable for
usage is its acceptance by the society. Our project has the potential
to be accepted by the society and fulfil the needs of the people due
to its following wide-ranging implications.
a) Our drone can easily be operated with minimal
experience and it can effortlessly navigate to hard-
to-access areas.
b) Most importantly, the drone visualized by us is
economically feasible which makes it acceptable to
the society.

Conclusion:
From all the pointers touched upon in the above lines, we can
conclude that the invention of the drone which has been envisioned
by us can truly create wonders and contribute unexpectedly to the
development of the mankind.
