Obtain a copy of the Fair programme(s), from our website (www.st-andrews.ac.uk/careers), or from the Careers Centre. Read about the organisations attending, then do some research into the ones of interest to you - website addresses are listed in the programme entries. Using the floor plan, come to the Fair armed with a target list of exhibitors and some informed questions, perhaps about their graduate opportunities (what does the work actually involve?), training, or work experience. Often organisations will try to bring recent St Andrews graduates to tell it like it is. Not sure what you want to do next? Fairs are a great place to browse, get ideas and talk to people who were in your shoes not so long ago! Arrive early the Fairs tend to be busiest in the afternoons, and organisations normally start to take their stands down at 3.00pm sharp. Bring a pen so that you can jot down any important information, including the names of the representatives you speak to (good for including in your answer to the Why are you applying to us? question on application forms, and for future networking!). Be polite and friendly to everyone you meet they may ask for your name in the hope of spotting it on an application form later. Make sure they find it for the right reasons! If any of your queries are still unanswered, come into the Careers Centre and speak with a Duty Adviser.

Exhibitors are based on the first floor or on the stage. If you need assistance to speak to anyone, please ask a member of the Careers Centre.
