Statistics and Probability
Normal distribution, also known as the Gaussian distribution, is a probability distribution
that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in
occurrence than data far from the mean. In graph form, normal distribution will appear as
a bell curve.
Normal standard normal distribution is one of the forms of the normal distribution. It
occurs when a normal random variable has a mean equal to zero and a standard deviation
equal to one. In others words, a normal distribution with a mean 0 and standard deviation
of 1 is called the standard normal distribution. The difference between a normal
distribution and standard normal distribution can take on any value as its mean and
standard deviation. On the other hand, a standard normal distribution has always the fixed
mean and standard deviation. Normal distribution have key characteristics that are easy
to spot in graphs. The mean, median and mode are exactly the same. The distribution is
symmetric about the mean—half the values fall below the mean and half above the mean.
The distribution can be described by two values, the mean and the standard deviation.
All in all, is about the normal and normal standard distribution. This is very important to
study because it will greatly help us to better understand how to do it. This will serve as
a guide if we detail each word it contains so we need to expand further to better
understand it.
