‘In her home that night, and the prayer she said was-’
a. How did the old lady finally cross the road?
The little boy helped her cross the road.  She placed her aged hand on his strong young
arm and without much hurt or harm, he guided the trembling feet along to the other side
of the road.

b. What did the boy tell his friends?


The boy told his friends that she was somebody’s mother, aged, poor, and slow so he
helped her. Someday his own mother would be in a similar situation and someone would
help her when he is not around.

c. What was the old lady’s prayer that night?


The old lady prayed for the boy who helped her cross the road. She refers to him as
‘somebody’s son, somebody’s pride and joy. She prayed to God to be kind with him.

d. What are the children compared to?


The children are compared to a flock of sheep.

‘Old age is inevitable but it can be made easier with a little love and care’. Give your views
about the given statement.
