B. Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes


1. Course Description
The course aims to train the students to develop their speaking and
listening skills so that at the end of the course they will be able to handle
specific communicative tasks. The focus of the course will be on practical
language use. In Addition, the students will be intensively trained on
listening to extract specific information. Extensive use will be made of
audio and visual materials to train the students to listen to language used in
different situations.

2. Course Main Objective


This course aims at enabling the students to understand spoken English at a
variety of communicative situations especially lectures. Also, the students

will be able to speak about different topics in different communicative
situations. The course also aims at introducing the students to different
strategies that will help them improve their listening and speaking skills.
