FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nature of Release: Date/Time of Occurrence: Location of Incident: Case Number: Suspect: Sawed-off Double Barrel Shotgun Robbery 10-10-08 3:49 p.m. Ak-sar-ben Grooming Salon 4480 Lincoln Ave. #6 Cypress 08003195 One Hispanic male, late 20s, 6-0, 200 lbs., black hair, unshaven, wearing a white dress shirt, dark pants, carrying a grey back-pack, and was armed with a sawed-off double barrel shotgun.

Brief Narrative of Incident: On October 10, 2008, at approximately 3:49 p.m., the Cypress Police Department received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at 4480 Lincoln Ave. #6, the Ak-sar-ben Grooming Salon. The lone clerk reported being robbed at gunpoint by a male Hispanic in his late 20s who was armed with a sawed-off double barrel shotgun. According to the clerk, the suspect asked questions about pricing and then pulled the gun from a back-pack he had carried in. The suspect demanded all of the cash from the register and threatened the clerk he would shoot her if she didnt comply. The clerk handed over $400 in cash. The suspect fled the scene on foot and no vehicle was seen or heard. The salon was not equipped with video surveillance and no witnesses were located. Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call the Cypress Police Department Detective Bureau at (714) 229-6631.
