News in the Past

Long ago there was no TV. No one had a radio. There were no computers. And
there were very few newspapers. How did people get news? One way was from a town crier.
This person walked through the streets and called out the news. If something special happened,
the town crier beat a drum or rang a bell. People would run to hear the news.
