Lubrication and maintenance schedule

Commissioning on delivery

Carrier
The following checks must be made during the delivery inspection.
1. Make a ”walk---around” inspection of the carrier.
2. Check the engine oil level.
3. Check the transmission oil level.
4. Check the coolant level.
5. Check the axle oil level.
6. Check the hydraulic fluid level.
7. Check the battery electrolyte level.
8. Check the fuel level.
9. Chck the air filter.
10. Check tire pressure and condition.
11. Check the wheel nuts.
12. Check the gauges and warning lamps.
13. Check the safety/parking and service brake function.
14. Check the engine belts for tension and condition.
15. Check the steering function.
16. Check the engine revolutions.
17. Check the hydraulic circuit.
18. Check the safety symbols and warnings.
19. Check the fire extinguisher pressure.
20. Check the carrier for leakages.

Daily or once in shift

Carrier
1. Make a walk---around inspection of the carrier.
2. Check the fuel level.
3. Check the hydraulic fluid level.
4. Check the transmission oil level.
5. Check the coolant level.
6. Check the air filter.
7. Check the engine for leaks.
8. Check the fuel pre---filter.
9. Check the safety/parking and service brakes.
10. Check the warning lights and gauges.
11. Check there are no leaking or hanging hoses.
12. Check the tires visually.

MEWP
1. Visually check the hydraulic hoses, cables, couplings, and the structure.
2. Keep the working area of the work platform clean.
Charging device
1. Drain water from the modular type air filter.
2. Drain water from the water separator
3. Check the lubricator drippage amount.
4. Keep the pressure vessel and charging unit clean.
5. Check the interior and exterior condition of the vessel.
6. Check the charging hose wear.

Carrier
1. Lubricate grease fittings.
2. Check the tire condition and pressure.
3. Check the drive line bolts.

MEWP
1. Lubricate the grease fittings.
2. Inspect the cylinder joint pin, pin locking and bearing.
Remark: For a new carrier, after first week

Carrier
1. Change the engine oil.
2. Change the engine oil filter.
3. Change the hydraulic oil.
4. Change the hydraulic return oil filter.
5. Change transmission oil.
6. Change the transmission oil filter.
7. Change the axle differential and planetary gear oils
8. Check the steering cylinder expander bolt tightening torque.

1. Check the oil level in axle differential.

Every 250 hours

1. Take hydraulic oil sample.
2. Take engine oil sample.
3. Check the oil level in planetary hub.
4. Check the wheel nuts.

Every 500 hours

Carrier
1. Change the engine oil.
2. Check the coolant additive concentration
3. Check the specific gravity of the electrolyte and clean battery terminals.
4. Replace the engine oil filter.
5. Check the V---rib belt condition.
6. Clean the catalytic exhaust gas purifier.
7. Change the transmission oil filter.
8. Change the hydraulic oil.
9. Check the hydraulic oil pressures.
10. Change the hydraulic return oil filter.
11. Change the axle differential oil.
12. Change or clean the cabin fresh air filter weave.

MEWP
1. Inspect the condition of the scissor assembly.
2. Inspect the work platform rollers.
3. Check the hydraulic pressures.
Charging device
1. Clean the modular type air filter filter---element.

1. Change the engine oil.
2. Check the coolant additive concentration
3. Check the specific gravity of the electrolyte and clean battery terminals.
4. Change the hydraulic fluid.
5. Change the axle differential oils.
6. Replace the fuel filter.
7. Replace the fuel pre---filter insert.
8. Clean the radiator.
9. Replace the air cleaner filter.
10. Check the glow plugs.
11. Check the engine monitoring system.
12. Check the wear limit of the V---rib belt.
13. Check the engine suspension.
14. Check the fastenings and hose connections.
15. Check the oscillation shaft bushings and the frame joint bearings.
16. Check the steering cylinders.

1. Adjust the valve clearance.

1. Carry out a basic engine overhaul.

2. Air bleed the service brakes.
3. Air bleed the safety/parking brakes.
4. Check and adjust the steering hydraulic pressure.
5. Check and adjust the charging pressure.
