Subject: DECISION NEEDED: Tablet Contract Update

Dear Deanna;

Hope this email finds very well. I am writing you because we have found an issue regarding
the budget assigned to the acquisition and support of the tablets at the initial stage of the
project.

Recently, Seydou informed me that current vendor, Terrific Tablets, has made a change to
their pricing structure, basing them into a monthly subscription type, resulting in a change in
the forecasted budget.
At a high level, this is the situation:
 Planned costs: the price of the tablets including software, as part of a single license
fee, for $8000 per 40 tablets in a one-shot mode.
 New statement: A monthly subscription of $3600 that include hardware, software,
support, customization, POS integration and more and will cover the number of tablets
requested.

Just to mention, this new option, even suggested by Seydou, shows an initial price lower than
budgeted, from $8,000 to $3,600, however, the one-time expense modality becomes a
recurring cost that must be considered in the annual OPEx.

Since this is a last-minute change, it is critical to have your inputs and thoughts about this new
approach and lastly the decision on this in order to continue with the vendor contract and
terms.
