Who am I?

In a world full of uncertainties and inevitabilities, I am just another person striving to

live an utmost life despite the hindrances and difficulties thrown at me. I am just a person who
seeks the same goal with other people in which the common denominator is to simply to have
a good and fulfilling life. However, life has not been easy sometimes but I believe it is in my
innate nature that I intend to look things optimistically and not the other way around. Since I
perceive things positively, I also seldomly become livid to an extent because I believe all
situations whether it is worse or not, can be handled accordingly.
I am Edrian Paguirigan Martin, 20 years of age, a 2nd year Medical Technology student
currently studying at Cagayan State University Andrews Campus Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
My goal is the same with other students, to embossed that RMT in my name. However, my
goals and aspirations are not limited to just achieve that title but when opportunities are offered
to me, I do not think a second thought to grab the opportunity because I believe “We only live
once.”. This quote may be an overstatement but nonetheless it brings out the thought,
motivation and perspective within myself to live my life to the fullest extent and enjoy every
moment of it.
One of the things that I cherish in life is I have a talent in musical inclination which is
deeply associated to how I feel and it constitutes how I am not a moody-esque person. As a
person who play the guitar and has a somewhat prior knowledge to musical theory, listening to
music and playing it in a musical instrument gives off a therapeutic experience and it sets my
mind into positivity which not only affects cognitively but also increases productivity. Music
is of great importance in my life and my fondness to it was immeasurable. It started way back
since primary school and ever since it serves not only as a therapy to my mental and emotional
health but also as a coping mechanism to reflect myself.
“Progress not perfection.” – these are the words that define and cultivate me as a person.
It is my underlying principle and serves as a backbone in living my life to the fullest extent.
Throughout the years of my existence, experiences such as achievements as well as failures are
the foundational factors that hone me of what I am today. But it is without question that I cannot
achieve what I have become without the support of my family, friends, and loved ones and
most especially without my faith in God.
