*Size H (5.0mm) Crochet Hook
*Hobby Lobby ‘I Love This Yarn’, Arctic Ice, Turquoise, Toasted Almond, Red, Yellow, and
Pink
*Two 18mm Black Safety Eyes (We’ve added them to Our Shop for your convenience)
*Poly-fil Stuffing
*Tapestry Needle
*Craft glue or hot glue gun (optional)
*Black puff paint or embroidery floss (optional)

the top right side of Overlay open so you can attach the Straw, Cherry and Pineapple.

Round 1 – With Red, MR, SC5 (5)
Round 2 – Inc x 5 (10)
FO, Leave long tail for sewing.

Pineapple
Make 1.
Row 1 – With Yellow, Ch 3, SC in
second Ch from hook and in next St (2)
Row 2 – Inc in each St (4)
Rows 3-4 – SC across (4)

FO, Leave long tail for sewing.

Straw

Cherry and Pineapple to Straw. Fold Straw width-wise as shown and whipstitch sides
closed. Tuck Straw with Cherry and Pineapple attached under Blue Hawaiian Overlay as
shown and sew in place.

Alternative to Safety Eyes

Round 1 – MR, 6SC (6)
Round 2 – Inc x 6 (12)
FO, Leave long tail for sewing.

You can also embroider or use puff paint to create sleepy eyes like this:

Assembly
*Sew down the rest of the Blue Hawaiian
Overlay.
*Place safety eyes on Blue Hawaiian
Overlay in desired location, approximately
11 stitches apart.
*Sew or glue cheeks in desired location.
*Use yarn or puff paint to create mouth.
*Align Blue Hawaiian Glass halves so end of rows match. SC around both pieces to join
together. Stuff with Poly-Fil prior to completing stitching. Make sure you work in a counter-
clockwise direction so your stitches face forward.
