This means that 4.76% of the learners who finished Grade 7 Science and took the test
achieved or exceeded the MPL in Science , while 95.23% them did not achieve the MPL in
Science.
Prepared by:
How to compute the Percentage of Learners who Achieved the Minimum Proficiency Level (MPL)?
Percentage of Learners who Achieved or Exceeded the MPL = Number of Learners who achieved the MPL x 100
Number of Learners who took the test
Example:
Number of Test Items = 60
MPL of Grade 7 Science = 9
Total Number of Learners who took the test = 189
Number of Learners who achieved or exceeded the MPL or learners who got 36 and above correct
answers = 9
Solution:
= 4.76
Refer to the table below for the Minimum Level of Proficiency based on the number of test
items taken.

Reminder:
1. Enter the computed percentage of learners with achieved or exceeded the MPL in a
particular learning area and grade level of Template No. 1, Enclosure No. 2.
2. Identify the learning gaps/least learned competencies that are necessary to the current
grade level of the learners. The least learned competencies can be considered as learning
gaps.
3. Submit the accomplished Template No.1 (list of most mastered and least learned
competencies) to the school head / master teacher on or before September 23, 2022.
