Question 1: Survey on Cryptocurrencies

Today, there are more than 20000 cryptocurrencies. In this question, you are asked
to provide a survey on 3 of them, namely, Bitcoin (BTC), Algorand (ALGO) and
Monero (XMR). Your survey should include: (1) a summary of the main features of
each of these three cryptocurrencies, and (2) a table illustrating the similarities and
differences between them.

Your survey should be at most 2 pages including appropriate references.

Question 2: Blockchain Applications

Select an application of blockchain technology (other than cryptocurrency). Then, (1)

give a brief description of your selected application. Also, (2) show that blockchain
technology is an appropriate solution to your selected application using the
flowchart “Do you need a blockchain?”

Question 3: Lightning Network

In this question, you are asked to conduct a self-study on Lightning Network. In your
own words, describe;

(1) what it is and (2) the benefits of using Lightning Network. Also, (3) conduct a
literature search to find at least 4 refereed publications that address issues and/or
proposed improvements to the Lightning Network.
