Valuing
Persons with disabilities and underprivileged sectors is also part of the society that have roles
and responsibilities to share and contribute to the community. Due to their limitations and lack
of opportunities, we can extend and include them as they have all the rights and privileges in all
aspects. The way we perceive and approach them is the reflection of how we were educated
and our views in life that we can inherit for the next generation. We can change things the way
that is not suited in present, moreover, we should be the catalyst of change and be a good
example to the community.
Insights: To be able to appreciate diversity, we must embrace people's differences while
seeking common ground, learning something new from those who are different from us
without shutting it down, and ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to voice or express
their own perspective.

Wrap-Up
If we accept difference and embrace diversity, we can fully understand that each person is
unique and that no two persons looks and think the same. Such recognition of the persons with
disabilities and underprivileged will gear us towards extending assistance and acts to alleviate
their hardships and diminish discriminations they are experiencing. We also need to understand
that these individuals, despite their limitations, have the skills and abilities as those who are
fully able in mind and body and most especially, like us, they have also hoped and aspirations in
life.
Insights: Acceptance contributes to the health of your relationship. Because acceptance
makes it simpler to recognize the positive aspects of your spouse and relationship, it leads to
increased closeness and caring for each other.
