What is jungle?
Jungle is an area of dense forest and overgrow bungled revelation located within the tropics.

Evolution/ Origin name "jungle”


The word jungle came from the sanskrit word “jungle” that means arid and rough.
The word came from Bengali into the English language in the 18th century.
• Properties of the “jungle”
Jungle has very denser vegetation.
It occupies very wide areas of land.
Less sunlight can penetrate it because of its high density.
It contains more variety of species when it comes to vegetation.
It is a type of rainforest.
These jungle are located in areas that sustain tree growth.
It has more higher moisture because of higher rainfall.
Jungles are mostly associated animals such as snakes crocodiles and monkeys.
There is more probably of enormous undiscovered species.
It begins from the edge of a forest.
Jungles refers to something with very young flora and fauna and consists of species that might not be found in the forests.
It is more diverse.
It has thin covering because little sunlight reaches there
jungle covers only 20-30 % of the forest area.
Every jungle is a forest but not every forest is a jungle e.g amazon rainforest.
Only one rule applies in the jungles that is survived for the fittest.
Jungles are full of danger.
• Comparison of jungles with woods and forest:
As there is different in some of aspects only and more ever the difference are also very small
one gets confused among these there things so I’m trying to solve your confusions. Actually the
defining element or distinguishing element or among three eco- systoms is size and climate.
Woods are considered to be the smallest area of dense tree growth followed by forests that make
up bigger land areas and finally jungles which are made up of overgrown tangled forests.
Jungles are network of forests therefore they could be referred as forests but as a group mass
world be called a jungle.
Pakistan’s biggest Jungles:
Gilgit-Ballistan jungle:
Pakistanis biggest jungles is there. In these jungles there are snow leopards in their snowy
rejoin more ever there is also birds species and many animal species Markhor etc. These
jungles are also source of excitements for people so they visits these jungles.

Kashmir’s jungle:
Like above this jungle has also snow leopards and many others snowy animals. Also other
birds and animals varieties are present. It is also beautiful jungle and preferable for traveling.
Snowberry jungle:
It is about 133 k.m from Quetta in the North of Ziorat.It is 2449 meters above sea face. It is
very famous for snowberry trees that are know as the world’s sbwest growing trees because
these trees grow only 1-3 inches after 100 years.

Swat jangles:
Animals different variants present snowy leopard other snowy species etc.
varieties present.
Hazar khilji chittan:
It is 20 km from Quetta. It is 3265m above the sea level. It has an area of 32400
acres specially it was Made for the protection of chakor birds. It is so called Hazar
Khilji because it is believed that there are thousand of treasure there Leopards,
Foxe, salaimani markhor etc and other varieties present.
Muree jungles:
Leopards and monkeys specially there.
Bila jungle of Qadirabad:
There are many varieties of plants i.e. Derek, Bibber, partook, sheeshum etc wild
cats or manuals, Wolves, rats, wild pigeons or passenger pigeons are there.
koh e Chinzal Jungle:
It is counted among Baluchistan's highest peaks. It was specially made for wild lives
protection. It is also famous because Manny saints used to worship there.
Changa Manga Jungle:
It is present between Lahore and Sahiwal. It is artificial jungle that was made to
gain the vast number of woods for stem engines.

Differ Jungle:
It has an area of 7135 acres. It is present in Mandi Bahauldin in Gujarat-Sargodha
road near Barmosa.
• Benefits of Jungles:

They reduce air pollution and clean air. They fight with atmospheric green house effect.
They reduce soil erosion. They increase economic stability of a country. They provide
many foods and medicines. They regulate climate of earth. They are home to millions of
plants and animals species. They provide wood that in turn used to build houses and to
form furniture.
