DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber

DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber is quite literally a liquid rubber that can be applied like any normal paint to most common surfaces
to waterproof and protect surfaces. It dries to form a tough, durable, environmentally safe, permanently flexible, fully adhered
and seamless membrane, which provides reliable waterproofing. It is unaffected by acids, alkali’s and waterborne salts, and Terracotta
protects against damage from UV, salt, thermal cycling, harmful chemicals and is resistant to biological deterioration.

Our DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber Waterproofing products serve two primary purposes:
1. Stop water infiltration through substrates.
2. Prevent water reactions (rust) with material such as metals.
DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber Coatings were developed to keep moisture and water out, saving you time and money from the
damage moisture can cause. Our innovative and highly flexible products will put your mind at ease knowing your home,
materials and structures are protected.

Basic Application Instructions

DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber is a single component that may be applied using a brush, roller or squeegee, or an airless
paint sprayer. White
Surface Preparation
DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber should be applied to a dry surface, free of dirt, algae, moss, debris, oil or grease and should not
be applied when the ambient temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius or above 30 degrees Celsius or if rain is
expected within 24 hours of application. All surfaces to be treated must be structurally sound and existing coatings,
adhesives, efflorescence should be removed to achieve maximum bond strength and resistance to hydrostatic
pressure. New concrete surfaces need a minimum 30 days before application. New masonry surfaces should be allowed
to cure a minimum 48 hours prior to application. Exterior surfaces should be treated with DURAFLEX Wash-It or
DURAFLEX Degrease-It to clear any surface contaminants. Light Grey
Installation
The desired thickness is achieved by applying multiple thin coats. With joints or cracks, DURAFLEX Thicken-It can be added to
the Liquid Rubber to make a paste to fill and repair. DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber coverage is around 1 Litre/ m2 (2 coats).
Typically DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber is cured within 24 hours at 20 degrees Celsius. Care must be taken to work the material
into the surface to fill voids and avoid pinholing. A minimum of one coat for efflorescence and rising damp, two coats for any
waterproofing is recommended and care should be taken to ensure uniformity of material and the required coverage is
maintained. The final coverage rate for all surfaces should be a minimum of 1mm to achieve optimum properties. In the event
that this coverage rate is not achieved in two coats, further coats should be applied to achieve this. Grey
Safety Precautions
Keep containers tightly closed out of direct sunlight. In case of contact with eyes, flood eyes repeatedly with potable water
and call a doctor. Do not ingest. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Dispose of unused product and containers in
accordance with local guidelines.

Clean Up
Equipment can be cleaned with soap and water prior to cure of material. Baby oil helps remove cured product off hands.

Important Charcoal
We do advise using DURAFLEX Wash-It to eliminate organic growth such as black algae, lichen and Moss to properly clean
your surface before coating. DURAFLEX Bond-It or DURAFLEX Rust Stop-It should be applied to all surfaces if it is an old
surface that has just been cleaned and prepared. DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber should be used for Pointing and be used to seal
roof ridges and valleys after applying Primer and before applying DURAFLEX Liquid Rubber.
