Judge Debra Ibarra Mayfield is a respected local State District Judge who presides … and top law firms!
over condemnation and eminent domain cases, served as a special commissioner
for ten years, and also managed eminent domain matters for a mid-stream energy
firm, and you will have the opportunity to ask her questions. In 2017, Governor
Abbott appointed Judge Mayfield to serve in the 190th Civil District Court. Judge
Mayfield is an experienced trial judge, having served you as Judge of the 165th Civil District Court
and County Court at Law No. 1, trying hundreds of cases to the jury and hundreds to the bench. She
was also a former in-house energy lawyer with the largest publicly traded partnership and provider
of mid-stream energy services. Also, Judge Mayfield was a partner in a Houston civil defense firm,
where she had an active statewide trial and appellate practice. She is devoted to the community
and to mentoring young women and men and am faithful to causes that provide such opportunity,
devoting time to serving charitable boards.
